Children should feel excellent about themselves. Whether it is a boy or a girl, it doesn't matter. Children need to know that they are special just the way they are. It is healthy for them to know that it doesn't matter what they look like or how they behave as long as they are doing the best they can.
Our children seem to be put under more and more pressure at a younger age everyday. They start school earlier, activities early, clicks earlier and even puberty earlier.
My wish for our children is to BE HEALTHY HAPPY CHILDREN - love, live and learn. Eat, sleep and play. That is a healthy childhood and that is when they will feel excellent about themselves.
My daughter wanted a younger sister, and we can't have any more children. We have a beautiful healthy family of 5 children, but she wanted a friend like her close to her age. Most of our neighborhood is even boys. Everyone said to get an American Girl doll. These dolls are special and have a special place in each child's heart, but my daughter wanted one who looked like her. We finally found My Twinn where the doll looks just like we wanted. In our case, like my daughter. We want her to feel excellent about the beautiful healthy child that she is. Now, she has a 'little buddy' just like her that she admires her traits and characteristics instead of thinking everyone has to be alike (like the clickie stuff that young children run into at schools).
