Peoria Parents, a middle school team from Lindbergh Middle School is asking you for help raise funds. The school's 6th grade Destination Imagination Team won 2nd place in the Illinois Tournament. They have qualified to go to Global Final Tournament next month in Knoxville, TN. It costs over $600 for each child to attend this 5-day event, that's not including transportation.
Destination Imagination is a worldwide organization that fosters creative problem solving by kids worldwide. This Lindbergh Team is the first team to go to Global Competition in 12 years. You can learn more at http://www.destinationimagination.org/
You can help support the team in several ways. You can make a tax free donation to the team through the Peoria Public Schools Foundation Account, which is a [501c3] organization. Make checks payable to Peoria Public Schools, with a memo on the check for DI LMS 6th Grade team “The Unknowns”. For every donation, PeoriaParent.com will match 25% of the amount donated. If you like Chicken Wings, Wing Stop in Peoria, 1212 W. Glen Avenue is giving a portion of their sales on Saturday, May 11th (11 a.m. to 8 p.m) to help the team. Just mention Destination Imagination or (DI) when ordering.
