Junior League and Truck Stop Event Provide Hands-On Education and Fun for the Whole Family

The following press release is provided by the Junior League of Peoria

The Junior League of Peoria will host the Truck Stop on October 24 from 10-3pm at Northwoods Mall.

The one-day event is an opportunity for families throughout Central Illinois to experience fifty unique vehicles they would not typically get to see up close. Some of the vehicles include Army trucks, street sweepers, garbage and fire trucks, hot rods, an ice cream mobile and the Peoria Public Library Bookmobile.

There are many chances for the kids to where their costumes.

Visit the apple farms like Apple Blossom Farms and Tanners Orchard. Pick apples, feed farm animals, get lost in corn mazes, and more fun!

Voluntary Recall of Children’s and Infant’s Tylenol

My friend forwarded me an FDA link about a voluntary recall of Tylenol for children and infants. Although, it’s voluntary, it’s still better to be safe than sorry. A few of my Peoria mommy friends had the lot numbers mentioned, and threw their Tylenol away.

Festivals and Fairs

There are tons of festivals and fairs to celebrate the end of summer and the beginning of autumn. Our family's favorites are the Pekin Marigold Festival and the Morton Pumpkin Festival. We love the parades, craft vendors, funnel cakes, and much more. Check out the calendar section for more info, and for several other fairs going on.
