From the Junior League of Peoria
The Junior League of Peoria will host its 2nd annual Truck Stop on Saturday, September 18 from 10-3pm at Northwoods Mall. The one-day event is an opportunity for families throughout Central Illinois to experience fifty unique vehicles they would not typically get to see up close. Some of the vehicles include Army trucks, street sweepers, garbage and fire trucks, hot rods, an ice cream mobile and the Peoria Public Library Bookmobile.

The American Red Cross and the Humane Society have developed a special course to teach animal lovers how to help their pets in an emergency.
Participants will learn handy skills, including how to:
● Administer CPR and rescue breathing
● Relieve choking
● Make a pet First Aid kit
● Identify and care for common ailments and emergencies
