Starting Up for the Season: Farm Park, Wheels O’Time, Science Treasure Hunt, Observatory

Fondulac Farm Park, the Wheels O’ Time Museum, the Northmoor Observatory, and the Peoria Academy Science Treasure Hunt are starting soon.

Fondulac Farm Park opened April 25th. Visit and feed the farm animals, and checkout the awesome playgrounds at Fondulac Farm Parks. It is open weekdays only until Memorial Day weekend. After May 28, it is open Tue-Sun. It’s $2.50 for kids, and $3.50 for adults.

Wheels O’ Time Museum opens May 1. Check out vinatage cars, fire trucks, lionel trains, tractors, and more. Under 3 yrs is free; kids $3.50; adults $5. Weds-Sun

Peoria Academy of Science Treasure Hunt started this week. It is a combination family adventure and scavenger hunt focusing on science and technology facilities and resources in the Peoria area. All entrants must be students between 1st and 8th grade on April 23, 2011 and reside in Central Illinois. The Grand Prize drawing will be only from the 100 entrants selected at random from those completing eight site visits and the Everyday Science items.

Northmoor Observatory is open on Saturday evenings, starting in May. It’s a great place to take your little astronomer.
