Join Arc Light Productions on Wednesday, July 6 at Illini Bluffs High School for three workshops on playwriting for all ages with special guest, Philip Dawkins (author of the 2011 Arc Light, Junior production The Skokie Detective Charter School).
Kids Play -- 1st-5th Grade;;1:30 -2:30; $10 Registration -- Through games, improvisation, and basic theatre exercise, learn how to tell a story with a beginning a middle and an end, and with a whole lot in between.
Junior Basics -- 6th-9th Grade; 3:00-4:00; $10 Registration -- Learn the basics of theatrical story-telling though a series of on-your-feet games, fun, and activities. Come ready with some ideas and a willingness to have fun.
Adult Classes -- 10th Grade - Adult; 4:30-6:00; $15 Registration -- Explore the basics of dramatic structure, learn how to generate ideas, flesh them out into plays with stories, characters, worlds and forward movement, and get you started on you writing your own play.
