See the farm animals at Fondulac Farm Park. Check out the giant bison, wolves, and rescued animals at Wildlife Prairie State Park. Greet some of the animals back to their warm weather habitats, see the monkeys’ new home, and monitor the expansion project at the Zoo.

Museum Exploration
Wheels O’Time Museum opens its season May 1, so check out all the wheels! Lakeview Museum opens a fun exhibit, Grossoology: The Impolite Science of the Body on May 24.
Pick Your Produce
Let the kids plan their meals when they pick out fresh produce at one of the local farmers’ market listed here. Go strawberry picking at Schaer’s Country Market, and pick apples during late summer at Apple Blossom Farm and Tanners Orchard.

Kids will love checking out Peoria from a bird’s eye view at Peoria Heights’ Observation Tower. There’s also a small playground next to the tower.
