On July 6, 2013 the 6th Annual Kids Helping Kids Backyard Talent Show for St. Jude (BYTS) will be held in Morton, Illinois, and with the support of the Morton Tourism Association and Morton Park District, the show will once again be held at Idlewood Park. Concessions, Inflatable fun, and face‐painting begin at 5:00 PM and the show will start promptly at 6:00 PM. Please mark your calendar, pack your lawn‐chairs, and attend this fun, entertaining, and family‐friendly event! There is no admission, but donations are greatly appreciated. This year's show features 22 acts and over 55 participating children, from all over Central Illinois, in what has become a much loved, annual event benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Concessions include Papa Murphy's Pizza, Chili's Restaurant chips and Salsa, Culver's Custard, beverages provided by Kroger, and a phenomenal bake sale!
In 2008, Claire & Kaitlyn Geier (currently both age 14) and Isabelle (currently age 13) and Maddie (currently age 16) Kolvek created the Kids Helping Kids Backyard Talent Show for St. Jude as a fun way to make a difference, literally in their own backyard. Now, what had been a small neighborhood production created by KIDS for KIDS has turned into a huge community event, still produced by KIDS for KIDS, that to‐date has raised over $58,000 for the Kids of St. Jude.
Given the generous support of sponsors and volunteers, 100% of all proceeds and donations raised by BYTS are given to St. Jude Children's Research hospital!
