Don't let your Black Friday be all about shopping. Create some family time memories, and the Santa Parade is the place to start. The 125th Annual Santa Clause Parade is the longest running holiday parade in the country. AmericanProfile.com had a great article showcasing the parade (better than anything I can write). Click here for the article. The parade starts at 10:15am in downtown Peoria. For the parade route, visit the PACE website.
Also, Midwest Food Bank and The Salvation Army will be in the parade this year, look for their Sprinter and members of the Peoria County Hawks Football Team who will be collecting food donations for MFB and coats for The Salvation Army. Enjoy a great morning with the family and help a few of our unknown neighbors too!
New this year is the Live Nativity in the parking lot of the Spalding Pastoral Center along Monroe Street near the start of the parade route. It will be open one hour before and one hour after the 10:15 a.m. parade. Sponsored by The Catholic Post and Peoria Catholic Radio WPMJ-94.3 FM.
