Apple orchards are opening soon, and will continue to operate into late fall. You’ll get to select freshly picked apples, and have fun with the family. Tanners Orchard opens Monday, July 23. It is located in Speer, IL. You’ll find the orchard, the Back 40 Fun Acres, farm animals, corn maze, market, bakery, and so much more. Christ Orchard, located in Elmwood, opens August 1. They’ll start by selling apples and plums, and will continue to add more products as the season progresses. Unfortunately, Apple Blossom Farm will not be open for 2012 season.
