From Peoria County Communications Helicopters, Fire Trucks, and Horses, Oh My! These and much more will be at Peoria County's Seventh Annual Emergency Expo on Wednesday, June 20 at the Shoppes at Grand Prairie from 4:00 - 7:00pm. Rain date is June 21, same time and location. Over twenty local emergency response agencies will display their emergency equipment in the parking lot along War Memorial Drive for the public to explore & experience, free of charge. Featured at the Expo are OSF Saint Francis and Methodist Medical Centers' medical helicopters; Peoria Fire Department's Fire Safety House; and the Peoria County Sheriff's SWAT vehicle, mounted patrol, & K-9 unit. Also at the Expo will be fire trucks, ambulances, motorcycle & squad patrols, rescue & recovery boats, ATV's, and much more. First responders from participating agencies will be on hand to answer questions and offer equipment demonstrations. In addition to the agencies listed above, the following response agencies are participating in this free public event: Advanced Medical Transport, Ameren Illinois, American Red Cross, Bartonville Police Department, Brimfield Fire Department, Care & Treatment Board, Chillicothe Fire Department, Civil Support Team, Dunlap Fire Department, E-911, Elmwood Fire Department, Henry Fire Department, Illinois Air National Guard, Illinois State Police, Logan-Trivoli Fire Department, Peoria City/County Health Department's Medical Reserve Corps, Peoria County Animal Protection Services, Peoria County Emergency Management Agency, Peoria Fire Department, Peoria Heights Police Department, Peoria Office of Emergency Management, Peoria Police Department, Princeville Fire Department, The Salvation Army, Tazewell County Emergency Services & Disaster Agency, Tazewell County Sheriff's Office, and West Peoria Fire Department.
