Peoria County's 6th Annual Emergency Expo

Helicopters, Fire Trucks, and Horses, Oh My! These and much more will be at Peoria County's Sixth Annual Emergency Expo on Wednesday, June 15 at the Shoppes at Grand Prairie from 4:00 - 7:00pm. Rain date is June 16, same time and location. Over twenty local emergency response agencies will display their emergency equipment in the parking lot along War Memorial Drive for the public to explore & experience, free of charge. Featured at the Expo are Methodist Medical Centers' medical helicopter; Peoria Fire Department's Fire Safety House; and the Peoria County Sheriff's SWAT vehicle, mounted patrol, & K-9 unit. Also at the Expo will be fire trucks, an ambulance, motorcycle & squad patrols, a rescue & recovery boat, ATV's, and much more. First responders from participating agencies will be on hand to answer questions and offer equipment demonstrations.

In addition to the agencies listed above, the following response agencies are participating in this free public event: Advanced Medical Transport, AmerenCilco, American Red Cross, Bartonville Police Department, Brimfield Fire Department, Care & Treatment Board, Chillicothe Fire Department, Dunlap Fire Department, E-911, Illinois Air National Guard, Illinois State Police, Peoria City/County Health Department, Peoria County Emergency Management Agency, Peoria Fire Department, Peoria Heights Police Department, Peoria Office of Emergency Management, Princeville Fire Department, Salvation Army, and Tazewell County Sheriff's Office.
