Visit the Wildlife Prairie State Park FREE of charge from 10:00 am - 4:30 pm. We've planned some great ways to learn what the Park's all about:
- Animal programs in Forest Hall (10:30 - Gertie the groundhog; 11:00 - Ivy the skunk; 2:30 - reptiles)
- Grand opening of the NEW Adventure Shop and ribbon cutting(10:30 am)
- Animal feedings (11:30 - bobcat; 1:15 - wolves; and 2:00 - otter, weather permitting)
- Bus tours of lodging facilities (leave from Prairie Hall at 11:30, 12:30, 1:30, and 2:30)
- Guided walking tours of Merrill Woods and John Muir Grove (leave from Visitors Center at 10:30, 11:00, 11:30, Noon, 12:30, 1:00 1:30, 2:00)
- ICC Cougar Bus donation ceremony (11:00)
- Prairie View Café open for lunch & snacks (11:00 - 4:30)
We'll also have discussions on the Hespell Deck so you can learn a bit about the Park's history, new activities and future plans:
- Mountain biking (11:00 am)
- Weddings and banquets/catering (11:30 am)
- Park history and future (Noon)
- Education mini sessions and animal display (12:30 pm)
- Special events and recreation (1:00 pm)
Of course we'll be offering our fabulous Sunday Brunch from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm, and offering HUGE discounts on all remaining items in the Visitors Center Gift Shop. As an added incentive, if you join WPSP, we'll upgrade your regular membership to a PLUS membership for the same price.
