Enter the Fall Marshmallow Peep Diorama Contest at Sommer Park and win great prizes! Entry forms and dioramas due by Monday, October 3 at Sommer Park!

This contest proves that marshmallow peeps are no longer just for Easter! Use the pumpkin, ghost and cat Peeps to make a diorama of a famous occurrence or autumn/Halloween scene. It can be a historic or current event, or even a scene from a scary movie. All characters in the diorama must be played by Halloween Peeps.

Captain Louie at Corn Stock Theatre is playing Sept 23-25, Sept 30, & Oct 1. It is a new musical based on the children's book with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (composer of Wicked). Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children. Visit cornstocktheatre.com for more info.

This September the Peoria City/County Health Department joins the community to mark the ten year anniversary of 9/11 and asks you to take time to remember those lost as well as time to make sure you are prepared for future emergencies. September is National Preparedness Month (NPM), which was founded after 9/11 to increase preparedness in the U.S. It is a time to prepare yourself and those in your care for an unexpected emergency.
