  • Wildlife Prairie State Park: Visit the bald eagles, black bears, and other rescued animals.  Walk the gorgeous trails.
  • Peoria Zoo: Say “Hi!” to the Lions, Tigers, & Giraffes
  • River Front Museum & Caterpillar Visitor Center: Check out the new museums, if you haven't done so yet.
  • Forest Park Nature Center: Visit the little critters at the Nature Center, and hike the trails.
  • Bicycle Safety Town: Always a kiddie favorite. A safe environment to ride your bikes outdoors.
  • Ice Skating: Whiz around at the Owen Center during open skate times.
  • Swimming: Go for a swim indoors at the Aquaplex or at Five Points Washington
  • Your Local Library: Peoria Public Library has several spring break activities planned
  • Your Local Park Playground: Grandview Drive Park is our favorite. Also, cruise down Grandview for gorgeous river views.
  • Indoor Fun: Jump around at Monkey Joe’s, Rainbow Play Systems, or FRC’s Motor Mites.
  • Kids Eat Free: Visit restaurantsinpeoria.com for a comprehensive Kids Eat FREE list
  • Movie Matinees: FREE popcorn on Tuesdays at Landmark Theatres, and their movie matinees are $4 every day.
  • Luthy Botanical Garden: Check out the Lily Show with the little ones. A lot of picture opportunities.
  • Bowling: Glow-in-the-dark bowling at Jillians, fish-themed bowling at Bass Pro Shops, Mt. Hawley Bowl, and Christian Center Bowling are all fun places.
  • Day Trips: Children’s Museum of Normal, Springfield Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum, Discovery Depot Children’s Museum in Galesburg, and Galesburg Railroad Museum are easy day trips
